Tamalyn Dallal and Alimah perform with middle eastern band Shoruk in a performance featuring the music of egyptian composer Farid al Atrash, September 12th at 7:30 p.m. at Ottoman Trading Company, 826 237th St SE Suites C-D, Bothell, WA 98021.

The Seattle Middle Eastern Orchestra begins its debut season on September 19th from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m.! The first class is free so you can come, bring your friends and try it out. We will study maqamat, rhythms, sequences and ornamentation, and play through the repertoire. Following the first class at 5:30 there will be an open house party. The faculty will perform the orchestra repertoire for you, followed by an open jam and potluck. Bring your friends and family and experience the beauty and excitement of this rich artform! So far we have students in cello, violin, saxaphone, riqq, and doumbek interested and ready to register. Music and CDs will be mailed out as soon as registration materials are received so you can get a head start working on the music!
Classes will meet September 19 - November 21st with a vacation on October 10th. Course fee is $144 for 8 classes; the first class is free! Classes are held at the Ottoman Trading Company, 826 237th St SE Suites C-D, Bothell, WA 98021.
